Police in Grand Forks have identified the victim in a fatal stabbing incident.

GRAND FORKS, ND (nomadnews.i234.me) – Tragic news has emerged from the south end of Grand Forks, as authorities have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred early Thursday morning.

According to Lieutenant Jeremy Mole of the Grand Forks Police Department, the deceased male victim has been identified as 24-year-old Grand Forks resident, Anfernee Economy. The incident took place in the garage section of apartments located at the 1700 block of 36th Avenue South.

In a startling development, the suspect, a 17-year-old Grand Forks resident, has been apprehended and charged with a Class AA felony of murder. Due to being a juvenile, the suspect’s identity is being withheld at this time. The severity of the charge could lead to life imprisonment without parole.

The authorities were alerted to the stabbing just after 3:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. As the investigation unfolds, further details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the incident remain undisclosed.
