GRAND FORKS, ND (nomadnews.i234.me) – In a recent incident, 20-year-old Lestat Beyer of Grand Forks found himself in police custody facing pending charges of reckless endangerment and fleeing. Sergeant Star of the Grand Forks Police Department provided details on the event.
The pursuit commenced with a routine traffic stop for exhibition driving, triggered by Beyer smoking his tires. However, instead of cooperating, Beyer accelerated away, prompting law enforcement to initiate pursuit protocols.
The chase culminated in the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue North, where Beyer abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Despite his attempt to evade capture, Beyer later contacted the police and surrendered himself.
Sergeant Star emphasized the gravity of Beyer’s actions, highlighting the potential dangers inherent in reckless driving and attempting to flee law enforcement.
